The Stars of Tomorrow/Las Estrellas de Manana 501(c)(3) makes every effort to help children enrolled in elementary through high school education programs by means of academics, athletics, and community service. Many of today’s youth become involved with the use and sale of drugs and risky sexual behavior, including unprotected sex, and prostitution. After becoming involved in these risky behaviors, they often drop out of school or perform poorly in their academic and athletic activities. Poverty, a challenging home life, peer pressure, boredom, a lack of extracurricular activities, or just plain curiosity can lead to such behavior.

We work with the youth as early as Kindergarten in hopes of instilling the value of academic success, a healthy lifestyle, and community pride. In turn, we will help improve the young adults of tomorrow through higher graduation rates, improved health and physical lifestyle, and a new sense of community. Thereby we also hope to lower drug use and teen pregnancy rates. The work we do with these children will not only affect their lives, but also the lives of others in the community where the youth reside and every person who comes in contact with one of our participants in the future.
